The mountain is there to be conquered, and inspires people every year to make it to the top. The path that climbs to the Pico Pienzu begins in Mirador del Fito (597m), Caravia. In only few hours you will reach Pico Pienzu at an altitude of 1,161 meters. It is an easy trekking experience that you can also do with children.
This route stands out mainly for the spectacular views that can be enjoyed almost along the entire route. Its culminating point, Pienzu Peak, offers us a privileged view: a part of the Asturian coast with the beaches La Espasa, La Isla, the villages of Caravia, Colunga, Villaviciosa … behind you Arriondas, the Picos de Europa … It is fascinating to stop and look around you, gradually seeing the hills opposite you, and then starting to rise above them, until eventually you are higher than anything else.
Tip: Take a camera with you and start snapping those breathtaking views as you go up!
